Hindusthan Cooperative Credit Society Limited, a popular name in the field of the Cooperative sector operating in the Maharashtra area since 1987. HCCS is a registered cooperative credit society under registration No. B.O.M.W.N./R.S.R./C.R.1041 YEAR 1987 in the year 1987. HCCS was founded in the year 1987 to provide much-needed financial support to vulnerable members of society in the slums of the Jari Mari area on Andheri Kurla Road, Mumbai. HCCS started functioning in the areas where banking facilities were non-existent by any bank. HCCS began its financial inclusion activities in the period when the concept of microfinance was yet to gain a name in the world of the financial sector. Many financial institutions at that time were averse to providing financial services to the urban poor in the slums of Mumbai.
